Let’s try. Second phone call to the magic number that appears on the homepage of www.dgc.gov.it, the site that proclaims: «Let’s start again safely (all caps). To make it easier to access events and structures in Italy and facilitate travel in Europe, the Covid-19 Green Certification arrives ».
You, you, you … and the line falls. One, two, twelve, twenty phone calls. The “repeat” button is boiling, the handset is hot. And the line falls, falls, falls.
Let’s try the site options: on this site via health card or digital identity (Spid / Cie), or by downloading AppImmuni: or App IO and, soon, also from the regional electronic health record site. Nothing to do: it takes the code, which never arrived.
And Sesame? «Log in with your digital identity to take advantage of the services at 100%», they proclaim on a beautiful blue background that makes Italy-winner-of-the-Europeans so much. But even there you need the code, never arrived.
Third call. At the Fair, the headquarters of the vaccination center of Pordenone.

“Good morning. I would like to speak to someone from the vacc center … ».
“I’ll stop you, sir. They don’t have a telephone. Here is the Fair ».

I am healthy, I have the car close by, I can leave the office. But how can an old man from Arba do? Hop on the first bus?

The idea, fresh as a spring in the desert, gushes as I get into the car. The pharmacy where I booked. There are 35 degrees, the skin is shiny with sweat. But I fly.
The blonde pharmacist behind the counter listens to me and solves the problem in one hundred and twenty seconds. I have the Green pass in my hand and also saved on my mobile. I’m leaving, traveling.
“Can I ask you a question?”
“You are welcome”.
“But why doesn’t the message arrive on my cell phone?”
“Because your health card has still registered the landline number.”
And yes, I did it in the early nineties: Another technological era, there were no mobile phones, Steve Jobs was a stranger, Raffaella presented Carràmba, what a surprise.
And why hasn’t it updated automatically, despite the health system asking you every time you do even a blood test? Boh. But after all, today, with the Green pass safe in my hand and in my cell phone, I don’t care.
However, I would like to give advice to those who have a say with the many heads of the hydra, aka burofollia: ask for the cell phone to those who make the vaccine. You never know. –
