The Special Award of the CFO Award goes to Fietta

The CFO Award was awarded once again this year, the event conceived and organized by Accuracy (Independent international consulting firm) and ANDAF (National Association of Financial Administrative Directors) in collaboration with Borsa Italiana and Elite and with the media partnership of Financecommunity.
The Award, now in its sixth edition, this year supports the TOG Foundation, a Milanese non-profit organization that has been treating children with complex neurological diseases free of charge for over 10 years. The awards ceremony was preceded by a debate on the theme “Globalization: dream or nightmare” which had as its main interlocutor Prof. Francesco Sisci, well-known journalist and expert sinologist, professor of geopolitics and President of the Appia Institute.
“The pandemic and the war have questioned the foundations on which globalization rested, undermined above all by economic and financial elements such as the lack of raw materials, the relative production difficulties and the increase in transport costs. – declared Giovanni Foti, Partner of Accuracy. However, globalization, as understood now, has another enemy: sustainability. The current trend seems to be oriented towards a change that is aimed towards a globalization that must produce effects not only in the economic sphere, but also in the environmental, social and human one. ”
“It is a real pleasure to be here today for this renewed edition of the CFO Award, an event that year after year continues to give us great satisfaction and which has become a fixed appointment for our professional community. Also this year the Award offers us the opportunity to take stock of the CFO’s profession and its continuous evolution required by the frenetic context in which we operate – said Agostino Scornajenchi, President of ANDAF and CFO of Terna. A complex profession that often sees us making important and difficult decisions, always combining the awareness of our experience with the ability to innovate to increase the value of the companies we are part of. The colleagues who have been awarded today are managers who have made a difference, each in their own field, expressing great skills in often critical contexts. And their success is based not only on a very solid professional background, but on the never predictable skills of knowing how to enhance the human capital of companies, leveraging on the personal and professional skills of collaborators “.
The CFO Award was awarded to the CFOs of WalCor, Sideralba, Ferrovie Nord Milano and Eviso respectively in the categories unlisted companies, Elite companies, EM listed companies and EGM listed companies. The special award was given to the CFOs of Hope Sicav and Sole 24 Ore.
The Corporate & CFO General Manager of Sole 24 Ore Paolo Fietta was awarded the Special CFO Award for having contributed to the dissemination of a modern business culture oriented to the themes of digitization and sustainability, and to the enhancement of personal and professional skills of the figure of the CFO even in complex realities such as Il Sole 24 ORE, and for having witnessed how it is possible to achieve ambitious results while always knowing how to combine the different business needs with the constant and rigorous work ethic and with the enhancement and motivation of human capital.
The recognition is added to the awards already obtained by Fietta at the Inhousecommunity Awards Italy, in 2021 for the Finance and Administration Department of the year and in 2020 for the CFO of the Year.
