The “super vigilant” in the Region: compensation of 70 thousand euros – breaking latest news

by admin

SALERNO – The salaries received by the two “super” brigades of the Municipality of Salerno called to Palazzo Santa Lucia are, respectively, of just over 72 thousand euros and 75 thousand euros per year. A presidential decree signed by the governor Vincenzo De Luca in which it is established that “the economic effects of the assignment run from the date of conferment which took place on 13 May 2021. The presidential decree appointing Muro and Polverino as managers at the Governor’s secretariat preceded the definition of the salary figure which was established with a subsequent act ». A second appointment for the two firefighters who, since July 2015, have been employed in the so-called Udcp, the offices of direct collaboration with the president, by direct will of the former mayor of Salerno.

As soon as he took office in Palazzo Santa Lucia, De Luca brought with him the brigade with whom he had strengthened a very close relationship of trust during the previous – and very long – experience as first citizen. Muro and Polverino – together with two other colleagues – remained in Naples until the second half of 2020, thanks to a series of extensions of the “detachment” from Salerno. However, in September of last year (precisely in the last weeks of the election campaign) news of a double investigation – of the accounting and criminal judiciary on the question of “promoted brigades” – began to spread. The criminal chapter closed with the filing request of the Naples prosecutor’s office, accepted by the investigating judge. De Luca had been registered in the register of suspects for the hypothesis of the crime of abuse of office, ideological falsehood and fraud. On the accounting front, however, the Regional Prosecutor of the Court of Auditors filed a writ of summons against the president of the regional council after investigating the promotion of the four traffic police of the Municipality of Salerno (including the newly “renamed” Muro and Polverino) to De Luca’s “super-collaborators”.

The matter was made official by the same regional prosecutor of the Court of Auditors, Maurizio Stanco, who announced the definition of a proceeding “with the filing of a writ of summons against an administrator for compensation for damages of 403 thousand euros in in favor of the Campania Region ». That administrator against whom the proceedings were initiated was De Luca who, however, signed the documents that brought the two of the “super vigilant” Salerno back to Palazzo Santa Lucia and now also signs the document that sets their salary. As regards, however, the timing of the appointments, the appointment decree establishes that «the maximum duration is limited to the tenure of the president, with automatic forfeiture. However, the possibility of early revocation by the president at any time is reserved due to the termination of the fiduciary relationship ».
