The magistrates Iuri De Biasi and Giovanni Valmassoi return while the judge Angelo Mascolo retires
TREVISO. The judiciary of the court is strengthened. New arrivals both among the judging magistrates and in the prosecutor’s office. Among the judges, two new reinforcements including Iuri De Biasi, prosecutor until 2016, after a parenthesis in Pordenone. There will be shifts between the judges. The judge Leonardo Bianco, after years of criminal law, passes to the civil section.Christian Vettoruzzo, will go to the investigating judge / gup office while the judge Gianluigi Zulian will arrive at the monochrome in a few months, ora gip/gup. Two arrivals also in force at the public prosecutor’s office. The prosecutor Michele Permunian, a native of the Venetian, arrives from the Locri prosecutor’s office while the return of Giovanni Valmassoi is also recorded. The latter is known for having followed important investigations in the past and with a national echo such as the investigation into the “Polisia Veneta”, the alleged paramilitary association made up of a group of Venetian supporters and for having dealt with the unsolved murder of Emanuele Simonetto, the 49-year-old foreman shot dead in the Mistral square in Pieve di Soligo on 7 February 2012. –
Judge Angelo Mascolo, on the other hand, is retiring. From 5 November he will take off his toga and leave the court of Treviso, where he is well known and has become even more known nationally for his outspoken character. Like that time, in April 2017, he took a pen and paper and wrote to our newspaper, becoming very popular for announcing in an open letter his decision to arm himself, “as my right”, after being chased by car. “The State does not exist, I arm myself”, Mascolo had written in the letter, reiterating his position in subsequent interviews.
