The National Police with coordination of the Local Prosecutor’s Office 12 of Valledupar, captured an alleged hacker, who would have committed a million-dollar embezzlement through computer networks.
The individual was identified as Jarol Rafael Medina Madrid, 36 years old, who was required by a court order.
According to the Police, this subject was dedicated to the theft of electronic equipment for multiple transactions, he participated in the digital embezzlement of some money collection entity portals, located in the capital of Cesar, whose electronic equipment has a capacity to receive 10 million pesos.
Due to these facts, the defendant must answer for the crimes of aggravated qualified theft, abusive access to a computer system and non-consensual transfer of assets.
Taking the above into account, the uniformed officers proceeded to inform him of his rights as a captured person and he was transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office facilities for the judicialization process.
