“A message of vigilance has been sent to all heads of educational institutions, school principals and inspectors” and “a procedure has been set up to block accounts and flag any incident,” the education district headquarters added.

The police responded, “sometimes with dog squads”, to investigate each case and “ensure the safety of the students and staff”. According to police union sources, the messages related to the attack threats on schools in the 13th, 15th and 19th arrondissements of Paris. In a message to the parents of the Pierre-Alviset school in the 5th arrondissement, which was evacuated around 9 a.m., the management specified that the threats were “terrorist in nature.”

Dozens of secondary schools in the south of France were threatened with attacks during the night from Monday to Tuesday via the digital learning environment that connects teachers, students and parents. In recent days there have also been attack threats in the northern regions of Ile-de-France, Hauts-de-France and Grand Est.
