Two deaths in days from A H1Ni virus, the so-called swine flu, recorded at the Vicenza hospital. A first patient, a 55-year-old, died on Sunday 7 January; yesterday, a 47-year-old patient who had been in desperate conditions for days died from the same disease. Three other patients, including a very serious woman, are hospitalized in intensive care due to complications of the disease, such as interstitial pneumonia. The Vicenza Local Health Authority has launched an appeal to get vaccinated as soon as possible. The virus, which is contracted like the flu, can be avoided with the widespread flu vaccine this season.
