Two men with a bazooka captured in commune 6, after police operations that have been carried out in the city.
This successful result was possible thanks to the collaboration of citizensdemonstrating once again the important role that the community plays in the fight against crime.
The events occurred in the San Martín neighborhood of commune 6 of the city, where units of the SIJIN Criminal Investigation Section, in a search and control operation, apprehended two individuals iidentified as Maycoll, 24 years old, and Bigotes, 39 years old. Both were surprised in possession of a considerable amount of bazooka intended for marketing in the area.
Maycoll was found in possession of 112 doses of bazooka ready for sale, plus an additional 60 grams for dosage. For its part, Bigotes carried 62 doses of the same substance, also ready for distribution in the illegal market.

Both individuals, with records for similar crimes such as drug trafficking and personal injuries, were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to face charges of trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics. The judicial situation of the detainees will be defined by a guarantee control judge.
He Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, took advantage of the occasion to call on citizens to continue collaborating with the authorities, reporting any illegal activity that endangers security and coexistence in the city. This joint action between the community and law enforcement is essential to guarantee a safe and calm environment for all the inhabitants of Neiva.
