Russia denies pushing migrants to the Belarusian border

(ANSA) – NEW YORK, NOV 11 – Western countries at the UN Security Council condemned Belarus for the border crisis with Poland. In a joint statement, Estonia, France, Ireland, Norway, the US and the UK condemned the “manipulation of human beings orchestrated” by Belarus on the border with Poland in order to “destabilize the external border of the European Union”.

The goal, they stressed, is also that of “destabilizing neighboring countries” and “distracting attention from their growing violations of human rights”.

Russia, for its part, defended itself at the UN by stating that it is not helping migrants to flock to the Belarusian border with Poland. (HANDLE).
