Xi Jinping leads tree planting activities in Beijing

In a show of commitment to environmental conservation, Chinese President Xi Jinping joined other party and state leaders in voluntary tree planting activities in the capital on April 3rd. The event took place in Lucheng Town, Tongzhou District, Beijing, and aimed to promote afforestation and the creation of a greener China.

Among those who participated in the tree planting activities were Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, and Han Zheng. The leaders were seen actively engaging in planting various tree species such as Chinese pine, cotinus, maple, cherry, and Platycladus arborvitae.

During the event, President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of planting trees, especially during the spring season when the land is full of vitality. He called on everyone to take action and become ambassadors of greenery, contributing to the construction of a beautiful China where man and nature coexist harmoniously.

President Xi Jinping also highlighted the need to expand green spaces, develop green technologies, and protect existing forests and grass resources.
