At the head of the Friendship Bridge they welcome tourists with chipa, mineral water, Paraguayan songs and dances.
The “Good Host” campaign, carried out by the National Secretariat of Tourism in coordination with the CODELESTE Technical Chamber of Tourism and the support of other public and private sector institutions, has a new edition within the framework of Holy Week 2024, with the now traditional welcome to visitors and the performance of artistic groups at the head of the Friendship Bridge.
The welcome day took place this Wednesday, March 27 at the head of the Friendship Bridge from 7:00 to 12:00, in the company of invited casts. In this way, Ciudad del Este receives tourists during Holy Week as in previous years.
The activity has the support of the public sector, such as the departmental Government, municipal entities of Ciudad del Este, Hernandarias and Minga Guazú, as well as Associations and Guilds of the local tourism sector.
The donations consist of chips and mineral water that were distributed to visitors through the support of the private sector such as: Itaipú Binacional, ASHOTEL, Chamber of Commerce and Services of Ciudad del Este, Shopping China, Consulate of China-Taiwan, Japanese Association of the East and Watson’s Mineral Water.
Among the activities, the distribution of brochures with tourist information, chips and mineral water was carried out, in addition to the reception with songs and dances of the invited artistic groups.
This activity has the objective of carrying out tourist awareness actions among citizens and in this way learning to recognize the tourist role that we have to fulfill in relation to tourism as a host.
