Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, June 13th. At about 6:40 on June 13, a gas explosion occurred at the Yanhu Community Fair in Zhangwan District, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. So far, the accident has caused 12 deaths, 37 serious injuries, and some people were injured to varying degrees.

After the accident, the Party Central Committee and the State Council attached great importance to it. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission immediately issued important instructions. The gas explosion accident in Shiyan City, Hubei Province caused heavy casualties. The lesson is profound! We must spare no effort to rescue the wounded, do a good job in the aftermath of the relatives of the casualties, find out the cause as soon as possible, and seriously hold accountable. Li Keqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, issued instructions, demanding that all efforts be made to organize emergency rescue and treat the injured, do their utmost to reduce casualties, carefully identify the cause of the accident, and be held accountable in accordance with laws and regulations.
