Currently serving a life sentence at the maximum-security facility, El Chapo’s only solace seems to be his television time, according to his lawyer Mariel Colon. Colon also shared that the inmate has a musical connection with her, as she often sings to him and has even started recording songs, influenced by El Chapo’s love for regional Mexican music.
Speaking of his musical tastes, Colon mentioned that El Chapo is a fan of artists like Carin León and Christian Nodal, but surprisingly does not fancy Peso Pluma’s music. With his newfound love for TV and music, El Chapo’s time in prison seems to have taken an unexpected turn, with entertainment providing a brief respite from his otherwise bleak reality.
