The National Civil Police (PNC) reported this afternoon, the discovery of a dead newborn in the bathrooms of a shopping center in Soyapango.
According to the police, it is a murder, so investigations have begun.

The fifth similar case in a month and a half
Since last April 1, the police have reported 5 similar cases, where corpses of babies have been found, murdered, in some cases, by their own mothers.
The first case occurred on Monday, April 1, in the Veranda residential complex.from the city of Santa Tecla, in the department of La Libertad, where the police captured a woman who gave birth to her son and then suffocated him, mutilated him and threw the remains into the colony’s sewage pipes, to erase evidence.
The woman was identified as Ada Estefany Mata, 24 years old, who would have murdered her son on the morning of Saturday, March 30, during Holy Week.
Then on Thursday, April 4the PNC warned about the discovery of the body of another newborn, who would have been murdered by his own mother, in Monte San Juan, in the department of Cuscatlán.

On Tuesday, April 9, the death of an 8-month-old baby was reported who was receiving treatment at the Benjamín Bloom Children’s Hospital.
The little victim had been transported alive from Usulután, where physical damage was intentionally caused; However, she died while receiving medical attention.
Authorities classified the baby’s death as a homicide. “We processed a homicide scene, the victim is an 8-month-old baby who was transferred from Usulután to the Bloom hospital due to injuries, where he died,” the police department reported.
Later, last Sunday, April 14Salvadorans were again surprised with the location of a corpse of a newborn in the San Judas subdivision, in the district of Quezaltepeque, in La Libertad.
According to an official report, the body was thrown into a ditch in that place.
