A haul of 18 medals was won by the standard bearers of Avis Atletica Canavesana at the Italian S35 + track championships held in Grosseto. Ten golds, 5 silvers and three bronzes the extraordinary result. In the launches dominating Anna Maria Camoletto and Nilver Perona with four titles each. Camoletto dominated the scene in the SF65 category by winning the hammer, short sleeve hammer, discus and weight competitions.
Perona, born in 1940, won the scudetti in the disc, hammer, hammer and javelin category in the SF80 category. Surprise victory on the 400 SF55 for Roberta Persico and confirmation among the SM65 for Valter Rossi who won the title on the 100. Citation for the five silvers won by Anna Maria Perucca (weight and disc) by Rosina Sidoti (400), Alessandro Corradini (hammer), and Rossi (200). Finally bronze for Perucca (hammer and javelin) and for Alessandra De Robertis (weight). Two beautiful surprises from the Italian Promise Championships also came from Florence. Bronze in the long run for Davide Favro and fifth place for Raffaele Leone on 400 hs. Favro in the long run remained in doubt due to resentment but in the race he found ancient sensations gliding at 7.12, finishing in third place and not far from the silver medal. For Leone, battery to be framed with the new personal best set at 52 ”95 (first under 53”) and then confirmed in the final with further improvement and time trial set at 52 ”62.
Highlighted in Biella in the national meeting Gomitolo di Lana Michela Arena who won the 1500s achieving her new personal best of 4’33 ”70 improving her old performance of 2019. Marco Lingua’s winning hit in Cuneo in the Walterl Merlo meeting. The 44-year-old from Tonengo di Mazzè is back on top-level measures, scoring 74.17 at the third jump.
