Fresh from a first part of the season “slowed down” by the summer problems related to mononucleosis, in Zhangjiakou Comarella collected a 37th place in the skiathlon (7.5km in classic plus 7.5 km in skating), a 26th place in 10 in classic and a eighth place in the relay, a race in which he struggled to keep up with the best, finishing just over a minute behind Russia, in 13th position. A few days of rest (the relay took place on Sunday) and the absence of pressure could play in Anna’s favor, an important reference for Italian cross-country skiing.

The blue movement in Beijing 2022 collected only one medal, the silver won by the Aosta Valley Federico Pellegrino in the sprint skating won by the Norwegian Johannes Klaebo.
