Petriccione, two games against his former teams: Pordenone is waiting for him

The jewel of the market at a crossroads of its black-green season. He has to convince Tedino to get on the train that B wants

PORDENONE. First he will face the club that owns his card, then the one where he exploded.

Crotone (Saturday) and Lecce (December 26) are at the gates for Pordenone and, in particular, for Jacopo Petriccione, a midfielder from Gorizia who, however, has not found space in the last period.

He probably would have liked to prepare for these challenges as a protagonist, however Mr. Bruno Tedino preferred to take other choices. And the team, despite its limitations, in terms of performance, did well.

The director, born in 1995, must try to convince the coach to focus on him and thus carve out a space in two matches that he feels a lot. Yes, because Petriccione, among the Calabrians, played his last season in Serie A.

And with them he collected 20 appearances. The company had taken over him definitively on 1 October 2020 from Lecce, the club with which he had gone down to Serie B at the end of the 2019-2020 tournament. Moreover, he had started the previous competitive season with the Salento players, playing only one match, the first, coincidentally with Pordenone (finished 0-0 at Via del Mare).

If the experience with the rossoblù was not unforgettable for the midfielder, the one in the Giallorossi was instead: 31 appearances in Serie A and two assists in 2019-2020; 33 “tokens”, two goals and seven assists in Serie B in 2018-2019, the promotion championship.

With Fabio Liverani on the bench, as mezzala and director Petriccione had surprised everyone, also attracting the interest from Udinese.

At those levels the player was no longer able to return: he hoped and hoped to do so in Pordenone, on the banks of the Noncello, but so far he has not been able to make an impact.

With his two former teams he is keen to make a good impression, but he must push hard to put the coach in difficulty and lead him to make different choices.

In the last six games he has only played 13 ‘, in Frosinone, but in these outings Pordenone, except for the second half with Ascoli and some individual errors, as a team do not have much to blame.

Maybe the two upcoming meetings could be the turning point for him, also because the January market is approaching and he too wants to show off.

Nobody doubts about the quality, also because they do not collect a hundred appearances in Serie B in their career. Tedino has focused on players in the middle of the field who, so far, have given him positive answers (especially Pasa), but at the same time he has never closed the doors to anyone, quite the contrary.

Petriccione will try to convince him and take part in two special races for him.
