BELLUNO
The regional C championships for men and women are coming to an end. Today the penultimate round is scheduled (entirely home for the Belluno women). Wednesday 2 June the last day. For three out of four people from Belluno the season (which did not include relegations) no longer has much to offer, in terms of official goals, but it can still give important satisfactions. Instead, he can still fight for a specific goal, that of the playoffs, the Sedico, only two points away from third place.
The sixteen-year-olds, today at 6pm at the Ricolt sports hall, open the evening’s program by challenging Vigò (third from last, with eight points in eight days, in group B). The sixteen (11 points in 7 games) aim straight for the fourth success in a row.
In group A, Feltre and Limana (both on the pitch at 20.30) try to give continuity to the recent positive results. The Limanese (two seasonal victories, both in the last two days) chase the trio in the home game against Imarc. De Gasperin’s girls (6 points) are clearly recovering and against Rossano’s team (5 points) they want to end their year on a high note (in fact, on Wednesday, Mares and her teammates will take a break).
The Feltrine, on the other hand, receive the San Martino Volleyball in a direct match between two paired teams at eight points, in the middle of the table. Carpene and her players are returning from their first away win of the year.
Finally, in male C, the Spes Belluno welcomes the vice-captain Bassano (at 6.30 pm at the Spes). The Belluno players arrive from the first point of the season obtained thanks to the defeat in five sets on the Verona field.
Italian Cup Serie D
After a weekend of rest, the women’s D teams also return to the field. On the fifth day of the Italian Cup, Trichiana hosts Volley Piave (at 6 pm) and is hunting for the first win of the season. At 9 pm, in San Vendemiano, Spes Belluno (3 wins out of 3) aims to hang up Vittorio Veneto at the top of the standings (who have already played 4 games, all won, and who will rest today). Spes and Trichiana will also close the group stage of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday. –
