The 2020/21 season of Edimes Sanmaurense ends with a bitter defeat: in game 2 of the second play-off round, Ospitaletto prevails at PalaRavizza with an eloquent +41 (37-78). A match that has essentially never started, given that the guests place a 7-20 break already in the first fraction and then gradually increase the advantage in the other three (15-35 at 20 ‘, 22-60 at 30’), thanks to a defense asphyxiant and a Mora in caliph version (25 points). The Sanmaurense continues to not find the way to the basket, also due to the frenzied pressing of Ospitaletto, which runs away in the score pushed by the points of an irrepressible Mora (15-35 at 20 ‘). The game is already on ice, the Brescia players continue to grind the game, while Edimes gives up their hold in the second half: Ospitaletto wins the match and deservedly passes the turn.
Instead, match 3, scheduled for tomorrow evening (8.45 pm) at PalaOltrepo, will be needed to determine who will move on to the next round between Olympia Voghera and Cusano Milanino. In the second challenge of the series, the Vogheresi of coach Erich Franchini were clearly beaten by Cusano, who directed the match on a favorable track from the very first minutes. Voghera was unable to respond to the energy and impact force of the Milanese, who stretched decisively in the first quarter, forcing Olympia into a futile pursuit. The gap between the two teams widened more and more, until the 91-52 round of the final siren, with which Cusano certified an evident supremacy.
