The NBA Announces Results of Third Phase of All-Star Voting
The NBA officially announced the results of the third stage of the 2024 All-Star voting, with Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James leading the Western Conference.
Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to outnumber James and temporarily tops the vote with over 4 million votes. In addition to Antetokounmpo, there are a total of 6 players with more than 3 million votes, namely LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Jason Tatum, Nikola Jokic, Kevin Du Rand, and Luka Doncic.
The top three in the Eastern frontcourt are Antetokounmpo, Embiid, and Tatum. While the top two backcourts in the Eastern Conference are Tyrese Haliburton and Trae Young.
In the Western Conference, the top three frontcourts are led by James, Jokic, and KD, with the top two backcourts being Doncic and Stephen Curry. James Harden of the Clippers ranks fourth in the Western Conference backcourt, and Lakers guard Austin Reeves ranks 10th.
The No. 1 pick in 2023, Victor Vunbanyama, ranks 8th in the Western Conference frontcourt, and the Rockets’ Shen Jing ranks 6th.
The starting lineup for the All-Star Game will be announced on January 26, and the All-Star substitute list will be announced on February 2. The 73rd NBA All-Star Game in 2024 will be held in Indianapolis on February 19, Beijing time.
