Moonless Formless, a game development company, has announced the release of their upcoming Rougelike horror game “Withering Rooms” on Steam in October 2022. The full version of the game is set to be released on April 2, 2024, with plans to also release versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
“Withering Rooms” follows the story of a young girl trapped in a haunted mental institution being pursued by monsters in her nightmares. The game features a 2.5D perspective, reminiscent of the classic “Clock Tower” games, and incorporates both storytelling and gameplay elements. Players will navigate through terrifying dream sequences, with their choices and actions affecting the outcome of the game.
The game’s upcoming release is highly anticipated, with additional content and features planned for the April 2, 2024 release date. In addition to the Steam version, “Withering Rooms” will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to experience the game on their preferred platforms.
