Microsoft Set to Launch New All-White Xbox Series X
It seems that Microsoft is gearing up to release a new version of the Xbox Series X, with a surprising twist. The tech giant is reportedly abandoning the original black body of the console and opting for an all-white design, similar to the Series S model.
eXputer, a popular gaming website, recently shared spy photos of the all-white Xbox Series X, claiming that this version is a digital variant of the console. While the design of the white fuselage closely resembles the black version, one major difference is the absence of a built-in optical disc drive.
According to reports, aside from the color change and the removal of the disc drive, the internal specifications of the white Xbox Series X are said to be almost identical to the regular version. However, it is rumored that the digital edition may come equipped with an upgraded radiator for improved heat dissipation.
Although Microsoft has not officially announced the launch of a digital version of the Series X, documents from a previous US Federal Trade Commission hearing hinted at a new color and a disc-free Xbox in the pipeline.
Thanks to the cost-saving benefits of eliminating the disc drive, it is estimated that the white Xbox Series X digital edition may be priced lower than the current regular model.
