Nintendo to Launch Last Character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Amiibo Series
Since 2015, the Amiibos figures and cards have been a popular item in Nintendo’s sales catalog. In addition to fairly faithful recreations of the characters from the game, they also feature NFC technology to provide exclusive in-game items and abilities. Additionally, they have always been a coveted item for collectors.
On February 16th, Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series will be the last character in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo series. With the game’s final DLC fighter arriving, it appears that no more amiibo will be added to Super Smash until the next game is released, with no news yet. Its creator Masahiro Sakurai warned that there are no new plans, or at least not soon, so Sora will be the last amiibo in the series.
The chosen Keyblade is the last fighter to be added to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster in 2021, concluding the second season pass.
It’s a bittersweet moment for fans of the game, as the addition of Sora as the last amiibo in the series marks the end of an era. Nintendo has yet to announce any further plans for the Super Smash Bros. franchise, but for now, fans can celebrate the launch of the Sora amiibo on February 16th.
