“Cat Specialty Store Order Form” (Penguin Design Co., Ltd.) (hereinafter referred to as “this book”) is a picture book by fashion designer Kazusei Takashima, and this exhibition will be held to commemorate the book’s release.
At the “Cat Specialty Store Order Book Exhibition,” in addition to displaying the new book and original character drawings and selling goods, there will also be a participatory exhibition where visitors can create a path leading to the “cat specialty store” that appears in the picture book. We also do In addition, as a bonus for entering the paid area, you will receive a coloring book that you can complete with an original stamp of the “Cat Specialty Store” character in the paid area.
On Sunday, April 14, 2024, we will invite Kazusei Takashima and hold a two-part talk event and workshop. This will be a valuable opportunity to experience the warm and humorous worldview of picture books and the essence of Mr. Takashima’s designs, so please come and visit us.

③ “Cat specialty store order book exhibition” commemorative event
The talk event to be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, will have the first part as a workshop where children can also participate, and the second part as a talk event. At the workshop, you can learn about the detailed sense of design by listening to Mr. Takashima’s story while enjoying the fukuwarai of the book’s main character, Maron. At the talk event, Mr. Takashima will talk about the behind-the-scenes stories behind the production and design of the picture book. There will be an autograph session after both events.

④Book selection fair “I want to be like this cat” *Held in paid area
Coinciding with the story of the book’s main character, Maron the Bear, who admires cats, we will hold a fair where our staff has selected books with the keyword “I want to be like this cat.” At 12 locations within the paid area, you can enjoy a selection of books created by our staff based on themes such as “whimsical” or “I like the night.”
⑥Novelty
During the period, those who purchase books and goods or enter the venue will receive an original bookmark from the “Cat Specialty Store Order Book Exhibition” as a novelty gift.

Kazuaki Takashima
Fashion Designer
Born in Kumamoto in 1973. After she graduated from Bunka Fashion College, she joined Issey Miyake Co., Ltd. She transferred to Miyake Design Office Co., Ltd. and joined the design team for “ISSEY MIYAKE” and “PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE.” In 2005, her own brand “Né-net” debuted from her company A-Net Co., Ltd. Together with her derivative brand “Nya”, she has gained many fans both domestically and internationally. She became independent in 2020 and started an activity called “This is not a cat.” Not only her fashion design, but also her character design and work production, she continues to create things with a sense of distance that reaches people who can connect with them through empathy.
