Earthquake, France: 3.8 magnitude quake on the border with Switzerland

An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 was recorded at 00:59 in France, on the border with Switzerland.

According to data from the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv) and the US geological monitoring service Usgs, the earthquake had a hypocenter only one kilometer deep and an epicenter near Blamont and about 190 km north of Aosta. The quake was clearly felt by the population, but no damage to people or property was reported.
