Soon after, Arsenal came with reassuring news.

Arsenal posted the following message on X just over ten minutes after Maanum was carried off the pitch: Frida is conscious, talking and her condition is stable.
Treated for nine minutes
It was five minutes into overtime in the League Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea that the dramatic situation arose. Maanum, who neither had the ball nor was dueling with anyone, suddenly fell to the ground and was lying in the fetal position.
Stina Blackstenius was the first teammate to come running after the Maanum collapse. She later settled the final and ensured Arsenal victory. The pictures from the session show that she is trying to get in touch with the Norwegian national team player.
– She is a teammate and a friend to everyone here. We care so incredibly much about her, and you get so worried when things like this happen, Blackstenius told the British broadcaster BBC.
– We said we would do it for her. We wanted to win for her sake when she could no longer participate, says Blackstenius.
Arsenal won 1–0 after Stina Blackstenius scored the only goal of the match after 116 minutes.

– Heartbreaking
According to BBC journalist Emma Smith, who followed the match from the stands, Maanum was looked after by both teams’ club doctors as well as several ambulance workers at the stadium.
“It’s heartbreaking to see a teammate go down like that,” Arsenal forward Alessio Russo, who replaced Maanum, told the BBC.
– We hope it goes well with her. Frida is an important player and plays with everything she has. She did that today too, so we just hope it goes well, Russo continues.

The national team manager: – Sad
Frida Maanum scored two goals in Norway’s last international match, when Croatia were beaten 5-0 in February. National team manager Gemma Grainger was sad when she got Sunday’s news about Maanum.
– We are very sad. Our medical apparatus is in dialogue with Arsenal and will follow her closely. We send her warm thoughts and our best wishes, she says in a message to NRK.
