Israel, Netanyahu towards plea bargaining in corruption trial

JERUSALEM – The next political earthquake in Israel could come from the courtrooms. Benjamin Netanyahu, former prime minister and currently head of the opposition, as well as of the first party in the Knesset, with 30 MPs out of 120, in the coming days could accept a plea bargain for court cases that see him accused, leave politics and indirectly trigger a government crisis a few months after its formation.
