Mistaken for hedgehogs: woman brings hat bobble to the rescue center

Cheshire – In England, a woman wanted to save a hedgehog. However, at the rescue station, the doctor in charge quickly determined that the patient was not an animal.

Animals like hedgehogs and squirrels have a hard time, especially in the cold season. That’s why many people help the small animals by giving them food. An English woman from Cheshire found a little hedgehog and put a plate of cat food in front of it. However, the next morning the little animal neither moved nor ate anything, according to the “Frankfurter Allgemeine”. She quickly drove to the nearest hedgehog station. The Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital in Knutsford. As the Mirror reported, the woman, who wished to remain anonymous, handed the box the animal was in to veterinarian Janet Kotze. She said: “The woman gave me the box and said she found a baby hedgehog on the sidewalk during the day. Actually, it’s still too early in the year for a baby hedgehog. And they shouldn’t be outside during the day either.”

When the veterinarian opened the box, she immediately noticed that the creature was not a hedgehog. As the “Mirror” further reports, it wasn’t any other animal. The “something” wasn’t even alive. “When I told the woman that it was just a bobble from a bobble hat, she was very embarrassed. At least her heart is in the right place,” reports Janet Kotze. The woman who brought the supposed hedgehog to the rescue center then quickly disappeared. “Basically everything went right, except that it wasn’t a hedgehog cub that she saved,” Kotze continues. The Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital published a post about the incident on Instagram.
