Our Staudes recognition of Kompani Lauritzen

We know Vår Staude (57) as part of the well-known and beloved gang that leads “Good morning Norway” on TV 2.

But this spring, the presenter is to be seen on the screen in a slightly different setting than we are used to. Staude is among the participants in “Kompani Lauritzen”, and there is no doubt that she impresses.

Staude has been employed in television since 1992 and has, among other things, been a news anchor in Washington and a DC correspondent for TV 2 Nyheten.

She started working in the program in 2005 and Staude has almost become a fixture for the Norwegian people on the TV screen.

Together with the presenter-partner Peter Bubresko (48) the duo does their utmost to give us the best start to the day.

Our Perennial in Kompani Lauritzen

This spring, she is among the participants in the viewer success “Kompani Lauritzen”. In the programme, 14 celebrities really challenge themselves through a series of tough military exercises.

Opposite TV 2 Staude did not hide that it was a tough transition to let go of control.

– I’m very used to getting cheers, and I’m very happy about it, and I missed it very quickly. We got it apart, but then there was a silent green enemy on all sides, who were just strict and you felt that they dogged you and pressed you down – as far as they could, in the shortest possible time.

Staude says that it was a big shock to experience the lack of praise and positivity.

– But there were only stone faces like that and everything was somehow wrong, we felt, she says.

The popular presenter is also the oldest recruit at the camp.

– I could have been the mother of many of them – the vast majority. I hadn’t thought about that very carefully beforehand, until Silje Nordnes reminded me of it on the bus on the way there: “What do you think about being the oldest, da Vår?” she says.

Var Staude shows off his skills

On Wednesday this week, the participants were trained in close combat, and were taught a number of techniques by the company’s expert.

The company aspirants then had to take part in the exercise where they had to “fight” the three “Bobs”.

Staude impresses greatly in the episode, and in Wednesday’s broadcast of “Good morning Norway” she shows off her new skills to her partner Peter Bubresko.

– I haven’t fought since I fought with my older sister.

– You are also very scared, because you think that these “bobs” can just grab you and sort of nibble on you, put you on the ground and then press you down. And then you have to try to growl them home to mother, as it were, Staude tells about the experience of Wednesday’s episode, and if forwards the techniques she has learned.

When asked by Peter if she felt happy in “Kompani Lauritzen”, Staude replies:

– No, I wasn’t happy. I wasn’t. At all, I would say, acknowledges the presenter.
