Gabriel Donzelli was at the heart of the film made by his mother, War is declared, released in 2011. Diagnosed with cancer at the age of one, he fought against the illness for years, until he completely recovered from it as a teenager. It is this “extraordinary” journey, says the La Scala website, that he narrates in his show, not without laughing about it, with a disarming naturalness. While he began performing last October at the Petit Palais des Glaces, receiving rave reviews, the 21-year-old is now preparing to play in a larger venue. A few moments later, she recalls, in all seriousness, that after filming with the biggest stars, she won “a César and an Oscar”. Faced with the incomprehension of her interlocutor (Virginie Efira has never won an Oscar), she reveals that she is in fact… a famous Australian actress. “I’m also Margot Robbie, in all her films,” she explains, before slipping in a confidential tone: “I can’t say more, I’m counting on your discretion.”
