Vicky Leandros is on a farewell tour – here at her performance in the Elbphilharmonie, where the tour started.
At her last concert in Hanover, singer Vicky Leandros gave her fans a fright on Friday evening: Towards the end of the show, when she sang her well-known song “I love life”, the 71-year-old apparently got too close to the edge of the stage and fell from the stage into the auditorium. The dome hall was sold out and several people rushed to help the singer. Shortly afterwards she was back on stage and continued her concert. “I was very lucky that I didn’t get injured and thank my guardian angel,” said Leandros, according to a statement from organizer Semmel Concerts. The “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung” (HAZ) had previously reported on the incident. Vicky Leandros is on her extended farewell tour. On Monday she will perform at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin, which is also sold out.
