Mount Everest, the top of the world, is 88.886 meters above sea level. Under the sun’s rays, Mount Everest stands majestically and Qiyun flutters in the wind. This year’s National Day holiday, Mount Everest will usher in a new round of tourism boom, and it is expected to receive more than 15,000 tourists, an increase from last year.
Mount Everest is located in the Himalayas. The Mount Everest National Nature Reserve with Mount Everest as its core was established in 1994 and has a total area of 33,819 square kilometers. The protected area is extremely rich in wild animals and plants. There are currently 2,550 species of higher plants and 509 species of animals. It is one of the regions with the richest biodiversity in Tibet and one of the treasure houses of biological resources with the most rare protected species in my country.
Today’s Mount Everest region has a good ecological civilization. Thanks to local scientific and effective protection, there are professional management teams in the reserve to protect wild animals such as rock sheep and snow leopards, and strengthen the seasonal Mount Everest climbing garbage disposal and the construction of environmental protection facilities along the line. .
On the eve of this year’s National Day, experts from the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Southwest Wildlife Germplasm Bank of China, successfully collected plant seeds at extremely high altitudes at an altitude of more than 6,200 meters above the Mount Everest, contributing to the global biodiversity conservation work. Take action.
