According to the big data of the third-party platform, during the May Day holiday, Sichuan tourists mostly choose outdoor leisure and vacation products. The 707 A-level tourist attractions included in the statistics of the province achieved ticket revenue of 120 million yuan. The suburban ancient town tour and rural tour are favored by tourists from Sichuan. Jiezi Ancient Town, Luodai Ancient Town, Peach Blossom Hometown, Zhaohua Ancient Town, Lizhuang Ancient Town, Sanshenghua Township and other places have received more than 100,000 tourists.
Camping and leisure travel has become the new fashion for this year’s May Day holiday, and “camping +” play methods such as “camping + research”, “camping + outing and enjoying flowers”, “starry sky camping + bonfire dance party” are constantly emerging. According to Tujia data, combined camping products with outdoor equipment and children’s playgrounds are popular with tourists. The average increase in bookings of hotels around the campsites has reached 70%, and the bookings of camping park tickets have increased by more than 30% year-on-year. During the holiday period, the bookings of homestays in Sichuan increased 16 times from the previous week. The occupancy rate of boutique B&Bs in Chengdu, Ya’an and Leshan is over 90%.
