Summer is the best time to enjoy our outdoor space. We can doze off in a hammock, prepare magnificent barbecues, welcome relatives and friends under a pergola covered with flowers.
But we also know that with high temperatures, we could have the garden and house overrun with small insects. We think of mosquitoes, which disturb our sleep with their buzzing and their bites. Flies, which could carry elements that are harmful to human health. But also wasps, which with their stings cause severe pain and could cause allergic reactions.
The danger of these insects
But during the summer season other small and very dangerous insects could also arrive. We are talking about ticks, which have a dark color and small size. They have the ability to attack humans and animals. Usually, their bites would not cause serious problems, but in some cases they could develop alarming allergies.
After a tick bite, we pay attention to some symptoms such as fever, nausea, redness of the affected part. In these cases it is necessary to seek immediate medical attention.
Many ignore it, but a few drops of these products would be enough to prevent the problem of ticks and to perfume the house
Ticks live in environments with a lot of vegetation, in fact we must pay close attention to parks, woods but also to our garden.
To eliminate the tick problem we should use specific products, but we could also resort to natural remedies. These would have the ability to prevent the problem.
To prevent the invasion of these parasites it is necessary to provide a good maintenance of the garden. We eliminate the weeds and regularly clean the kennel of our 4-legged animals.
Also, there are some natural products that can prevent the problem. For example, the essential oils of Neem, lemongrass and mint could help us. Their strong smell is not very popular with ticks. We could dilute a few drops of essential oil in water and wash the floor of the house and the door. In this way not only the ticks could get away but we will also perfume the whole house.
So many ignore it, but a few drops would be enough to help us prevent the problem. Of course, remember that these are only natural remedies (simple grandmother’s advice) and that they do not permanently eliminate the problem and the invasion of ticks.
