The Mise announced today the allocation of 53 million euros for the Bonus Terme with the aim of facilitating citizens in the purchase of accredited spa services. The decree of the Minister of Economic Development Giancarlo Giorgetti, published in the Official Journal, underlines how the bonus is aimed at all adult citizens residing in Italy, without ISEE limits and without limits related to the family unit.
Each citizen can take advantage of only one bonus, which consists of a 100% discount on the purchase price of the chosen spa services, up to a maximum of 200 euros.
“A bonus without criteria and without logic, which certainly will not help either the citizens or the sector of spas damaged by Covid”, thunders the Codacons, which specifies: “While it might have made sense to grant an incentive to support the expenses related to spa services, on the other hand it is not clear why the bonus should be due to everyone regardless of income and without any limit related to the ISEE. So even those who have no economic difficulty can take advantage of the subsidy to enjoy vacation days at spas or moments of relaxation, to the detriment of the community that finances the bonus “. Finally, Codacons points out that the 53 million euros allocated for a maximum expenditure of 200 euros also appear completely insufficient, because in this way only 265 thousand lucky ones will be able to benefit from the incentive, regardless of their income.
