The magistrate imposed on Malkiewiez a “prohibition of approach and contact” with Insfrán of “a radius of five hundred (500) meters”. The measure also prevents him from “attending” the Governor’s home and “the places where he is.” Nor does it allow him to “make demonstrations through any means of communication and of any manifestation or attitude” against the president or his family.
“We are satisfied, I don’t know if happy is the expression. Germán should never have been a victim of this burdensome state persecution“, much less deprived of his freedom,” said Malkiewiez’s lawyer, Julieta González.
And he added: “The important thing is that this does not happen to any person other than those who, for expressing themselves freely, receive punishment from the State. And if it were to happen, which would not surprise us, let them know that they can count on usthat we are going to be there to defend the rights and freedoms in this very despotic province.”
The young man had been detained since Saturday at the 8th Police Station in the Nueva Formosa neighborhood, reported for threat, attack and attack against authority. “Then they put their knees on my neck and I lost consciousness. When I regained consciousness they had me handcuffed,” she added. And she closed: “Later they wanted to take me to the penitentiary, but with the beatings I had, the commissioner in charge said that in that state they could not receive me.”. So they transferred me to the 8th Police Station,” he concluded.
This Monday, the Police Chief of the province of Formosa, Commissioner General Walter René Arroyo, explained the reasons that led to Malkiewiez’s arrest and described his behavior as “reckless.”
“It is not an ideological questionnor a candid teenager who went to run an errand: he said ‘Fuck You’ to the Governor and that is why this whole procedure was put together,” he said in statements to the Formosa News Agency (AGENFOR).
And he added: “He had reckless behavior. The guards considered that it was not normal for someone to approach and insult while carrying a gas tube, so they decided to intervene according to the rigorous protocol.”
