Having a high HDL, i.e. the so-called ‘good cholesterol’ may no longer be a guarantee of protection from cardiovascular risk as has been thought up to now, or at least not for all ethnic groups. This is the conclusion reached by a study supported by the National Institutes of Health just published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
