The woods are transformed into gyms.  Sport for all against fragility

Countering fragility and breaking down barriers to access sporting activity, enhancing the richness of the territories, this is the objective of the project which is part of Sport for Everyone – Inclusion presented in Porretta (Atlto Reno Terme) which will be called Sport in the mountains (Sim), between woods and gyms. The initiative, promoted by the Ministry for Sport and Youth through the public company Sports and Health. The initiative will offer the opportunity to participate in sporting and non-sporting activities free of charge until November 2025, so as to create opportunities for inclusion for children, families, young people and the elderly. The project aims to involve as many people as possible, making use of municipal social services, the local Caritas help desk and primary and secondary schools. To illustrate the initiative, together with the mayor Giuseppe Nanni and to the Sports Councilor Nicolò Savignithey were present Laura Romoli e Luisa Malacari of Sport and Health; Andrea Davidpresident of the Bolognese committee of the Italian Sports Center, Chiara Pazzagliapresident of Acli Bologna e Rossella Guidobonipresident of the local sports club Asd Trottola Sport.

Psychomotor activities involving around ten children between the ages of 1 and 6 have already started, volleyball, basketball and judo will soon follow along with other outdoor activities such as mountain biking, trekking and, if the weather permits, skiing. at Corno alle Scale. The range widens to include cultural activities; theater and after school, organized by the Santa Maria Maddalena association of Porretta Terme. Finally the sports for adults, the family space workshops and the adopt a grandparent initiative. Many places will be involved in the activities: the municipal gyms, the headquarters of the Porretta Terme proloco and the multipurpose room of the Santa Maria Maddalena nursery school for body workshops, without neglecting the paths and the territory which will become open-air gyms.
