Unfortunately, the problem of general practitioners in Racconigi has not yet found a solution. After the difficulties of recent months, which forced some citizens to choose a family doctor who does not practice in the city but in the neighboring municipalities, twice a positive solution was come close, but in both situations the doctors in charge, both very young, they gave up at the last minute, perhaps fearful of taking on such a burdensome commitment.
“We are in constant contact with the AslCn1, in the persons of the new director of the North-East district Dr. Saglione and the general director Dr. Giuseppe Guerra, – explains Mayor Oderda – all looking for viable solutions and all with the most complete willingness to implement any action that can facilitate the hiring of new doctors in the city, but unfortunately Racconigi, like many other towns and city, is paying for years of short-sighted health policies and short-sighted choices by the university world, with the limited number that still hinders access for many students. In the meantime, we will continue to move to push for a solution at all institutional tables, even at the highest levels, while being aware that it is not easy for anyone to find answers. Even today there are hypotheses in the field that are being evaluated but nothing is certain yet, except the fact that we will always be vigilant and attentive to the evolution of the situation to protect the right to health of every citizen of Racconi”.
“The shortage of general practitioners, for adults and also for younger patients, – comments the general director of AslCn1, Dr. War – is unfortunately a problem that has been dragging on for some months in a general way, which is not always easy to remedy. In this specific case, also thanks to the active collaboration of the municipality, we are working hard to identify the candidate interested in practicing in Racconigi, and we are hopeful that we will soon be able to give a concrete response to the needs of many citizens”.
The ASL, meanwhile, is setting up a new space for a medical clinic within the clinic, which is also a useful action to facilitate the possible hiring of a new general practitioner.
