The narcotic was found by the Army inside a truck during security checks on the roads of the department of Huila.
In an operation carried out by units of the Infantry Battalion No. 26 Cacique Pigoanza, of the Ninth Brigade and the Light Cavalry Group No. 6, of the Army, with the support of the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office, a new blow was dealt to illegal structures, seizing 600 kilograms of marijuana and capturing a man.
The driver of the truck tried to evade the authorities. But he was detained at a checkpoint in the Villa Nury village, municipality of Paicol, Huila. During the search, 107 packages wrapped in black plastic were found.
This narcotic is valued at approximately 900 million pesos. And around 300,000 doses would have been taken from there, which negatively affects public health and safety.
These interdiction operations against drug trafficking are permanent and seek to dismantle illegal structures that benefit from illicit economies. The National Army continues to work hard to counteract crimes and guarantee the tranquility of the population.
