PASIAN DI PRATO. The Pasiano community, together with the great family of artisans, yesterday afternoon gave their last farewell to Guido Tomat, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 73 due to a sudden illness.
He leaves his wife Laura, with whom he lived in Colloredo di Prato, his daughters and his beloved grandchildren. Tomat was well known in the dairy sector, but not only for the family business, which he had been running for years with passion and dedication, the Tomat trucking company in Pasian di Prato.
A company that has been operating in the transport sector for third parties in the Friuli area for more than 50 years. Among its main activities, that of the collection of milk, also for the Friulian Dairies of Campoformido. A company founded over half a century ago by Guido Tomat’s parents and over the years changed hands to their children, who have been able to renew it and make it grow, renewing the fleet and specializing in the transport of food liquids for third parties, moving throughout the Fvg .
«Guido was a humble and respected person, like many Friulians and artisans a man of few words and of great concreteness – the former head of the category of haulers of Confartigianato-Imprese Udine, Pierino Chiandussi remembers him -. A job not without sacrifice that Tomat carried out over a lifetime, as Chiandussi always remembers: “He was a hard worker, just think of the sacrifice that the milk collection service requires, with nights spent on the road, to arrive to deliver the product for processing early in the morning ».
Yesterday, in the parish church of Colloredo di Prato, many wanted to pay homage to him, gathering around his family. –
