At around 7:10 p.m., an ambulance with flashing lights and a siren drove on Reutlinger Straße from Nehren towards Gomaringen and slowed down at the intersection with the Nordring to turn left. A 26-year-old Opel driver noticed this and stopped when he wanted to enter Reutlinger Strasse from the Nordring when the light was green. The 60-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi realized this too late and drove into the Opel that was braking in front of him. The Mitsubishi driver was slightly injured in the accident and was taken to hospital by emergency services. Due to the initially unclear extent of the accident, the fire department was also called out. The police estimate the damage to the two cars at 6,000 euros. The Mitsubishi had to be towed away. The ambulance involved in the accident was able to continue its journey to a clinic with a patient a short time later.
