he fled the scene, even though as a driver’s license holder and a lawyer he must have known he should have waited for the police to arrive, he lied about the alleged injury and didn’t even think to report the accident.
He was able to avoid a breath test for more than 15 hours after committing the crime. That is an admirable feat and the perpetrator is to be congratulated for pulling it off. But the point is, how is that possible? Certainly, not only his extraordinary skill and cunning played a role in this, but probably also the inability, or rather the reluctance of the policemen, to get to him “within range”, stick a tube in his mouth and possibly take him for a blood test.
