A sudden illness hit him in his home. He was 66 years old. The top management of the company and the Region: unbridgeable loss. On Wednesday the funeral in Udine

PALMANOVA. Its name contains the history of the most important regional infrastructure built in recent decades. He is considered one of the “fathers” of the third lane of the A4. Enrico Razzini, after being seized by a sudden illness in the late evening of Saturday, died last night at the age of 66. He was director of the technical area of ā€‹ā€‹Autovie Venete and sole manager of the procedure for the third lane. “Engineer also expert in legal aspects, a champion, a person with a vast culture and, above all, a great man with strong and profound values” are the words memory of the vice president of the Region Riccardo Riccardi who for many years worked with the professional and was his friend.
Born in 1955, Razzini was originally from Montodine (Cremona) and lived in Udine with his family. He graduated in civil engineering from the Milan Polytechnic in 1980 and, soon after, he started working for a German multinational. Over time he had been involved in public buildings, roads, tunnels and dams, making himself appreciated for his professionalism and competence.

From 2006 he was engaged in Autovie Venete, first as technical director and then, from 2008 to 2013, as general manager. Also since 2008 he had been the sole person in charge of the third lane procedure. He followed step by step the birth and the continuation of this great work, from the first lot (Quarto d’Altino – San DonĆ ), to the third lot (Alvisopoli – Gonars, completed in the autumn of last year with the construction of the new viaduct on the Tagliamento) until the completion of the first sub-lot of the fourth lot (Gonars – Palmanova) a few days ago.

Ā«He leaves me a close friend – added Riccardi -, as well as a valuable professional. This region owes many important works to him. In fact, he was the protagonist of the Third lane, the Villesse-Gorizia and the completion of the A28, all works that we did together, side by side. He leaves me a true friend, the pain is great, I am upset. He had arrived here in the early 2000s. He had been hired by Autovie as technical director and then became general manager when, in 2008, I was appointed councilor. A man with extraordinary professional qualities, but above all with deep values, a practicing Catholic, a beautiful person who loved the history of art. At work, he knew how to work as a team and in the management of the yard he was a true expert because he also understood litigation. He was the construction manager of the most recent works. Some time ago he was also called to Parma for important works Ā».

Condolence is expressed by the President of the Region and Commissioner for the emergency of the A4, Massimiliano Fedriga: “A great professional who has dedicated himself with great fortitude to an impressive work of international significance”. The president of Autovie, Maurizio Paniz, shares the same opinion: Ā«We are all shocked by the sudden death of the engineer Razzini. It leaves an unbridgeable void. He was an essential point of reference for the whole company and for the new generations. It represented the history of Autovie. He was not just a technician and a professional, but a person who put his heart into his work Ā». “A great example – adds the general manager of Autovie, Giorgio Damico – who with his dedication to work has left us an extraordinary message”.
