Kimberly L. (32), who stabbed her friend with a knife, will stay in prison for a month longer (Ghent)

32-year-old Kimberly L. will remain in prison for a month longer. The council chamber decided this on Tuesday. The woman was arrested after she stabbed her boyfriend Sam De Pourck (33).

Sam De Pourck (33) was violently killed in his apartment in the center of Ghent on Wednesday night. His girlfriend Kimberly L. (32) was arrested by the police shortly after the facts and arrested by the investigating judge on suspicion of manslaughter.

The woman made confessions after the facts. The East Flemish public prosecutor’s office is fully investigating what happened that fatal night. The woman had to appear before the council chamber in Ghent on Tuesday. He decided to extend the woman’s detention by a month.

Her lawyer Thierry Goffart confirms the news, but refrains from further commenting on the facts. “The woman realizes what she has done, but she is having a hard time. She needs professional support.”
