Lazio closes ranks around their leader and striker, Ciro Immobile, after the sad episode which saw the striker insulted and even physically attacked in front of his 4-year-old son by some ‘fans’. In this regard, the club has released an official statement. “The entire SS Lazio expresses full solidarity with its captain Ciro Immobile and his family for the disturbing and unacceptable attacks suffered in recent days”. The statement continues: “Sport, and consequently its ethical value, must remain as such: any act of verbal or physical violence must receive unanimous condemnation, firmly and without justification”.
