On this occasion, the Pereira physical trainer Mateo Ramírez Cano joined the training sessions of the Sócrates Valencia FC Club, which has great objectives for 2024 where one of them is to seek the national title in the Difútbol championships. “Happy to arrive at this great institution, for several years in which they have done great performances at the local and national level, so willing to live up to what the team asks for.”
Diego Pava contacted him
The former Fair Play physical trainer told how he moved to his new home. “The arrival occurred through contact with Diego Pava, who is the club’s sports coordinator. In fact, since last year we had already met several times and at the end of the year it came to fruition. Very happy from that moment because he knew where he was going to be, what he could give and what he could contribute to the institution.”
“The most positioned club”
Regarding his expectations, he states: “they are great because I would believe that at a training level it is the best positioned amateur club in the city and I would say that it is one of those that will later give something to talk about at a national level, which is the objective now. . I will try to be at the level of the institution, to contribute my grain of sand in terms of the physical aspect that concerns me and to help enhance these great players who are here day after day.”
With the four categories
“I am accompanying the processes of the four projection categories, which are U-12 that Baby Fútbol is going to play; Sub-13 and Sub-15 that are going to play national tournaments and more focused now at this moment that it is the group with the greatest projection, the Sub-17 with Professor Herney who has opened the doors of the group to me and we have understood each other very well ”.
Praise the clubhouse
There is no doubt that the headquarters of the Sócrates Valencia FC Club is a luxury for the training processes in Risaralda. “I have already had the opportunity to work in different clubs and I would believe that the infrastructure, the organization, the professionals who accompany me at this moment are of great quality. The club has a great headquarters that any amateur team would like to have and it is difficult for a professional team to have it, so I am happy to exploit it as much as possible in a positive way, all of this in the institution.”
His experience in Risaraldense football
Despite his youth, Mateo Ramírez Cano has been making the most of his sporting career and learning in each of the clubs he has been in. “I was in Corpereira in the minor divisions in 2019. After 2020 to 2022 in Victors; in 2023 in Fair Play and the clubs I have been with in Copa Ciudad Pereira are Pernía, Fair Play and As Soccer. Also in the National Indoor Soccer League I have been with Tullis Vista Hermosa for three years.”
