Castellaz: aid to activities in difficulty with the pandemic. The reduction will be applied ex officio without making a request

PEDAVENA. Exemption from the payment of the second installment of the waste tariff (fixed and variable part) due in the second half of the current year expiring on 16 December to all non-domestic users who, opened or closed during the Covid emergency, had economic consequences negative.

This is the measure adopted during the last session by the city council, which after the 2020 actions, considered it appropriate to approve a series of support measures for economic activities again this year.

The purpose, emphasizes the mayor of Pedaven Nicola Castellaz, is “to support the entrepreneurial realities that have suffered from the pandemic in these two years”.

In the coming days, the Feltre Mountain Union, which manages the tax service for the Municipality, will send all those entitled to a letter containing this information.

From a practical point of view, to go in the direction of procedural simplification, the administration has established that the reduction will be applied ex officio, without the economic activities having to submit a request.

“A small signal that was able to be activated thanks to the use of part of the state resources assigned to the Municipality for the Covid-19 emergency (about 37 thousand euros)”, explains the mayor. “Resources that want to represent a help both for the activities that have had to comply with the closures imposed by the ministerial decrees and that have laboriously then resumed work both to those that, while keeping open, have seen their revenues decrease significantly”.

Keeping the economic fabric of Pedavena alive “is a commitment that, despite the few competences left to the local authority, we must carry out in a shared and decisive way”, re-launches the mayor Castellaz, “in order to maintain employment, vitality of a country and a point of reference especially for fragile people “. Further concessions related to domestic users who have had problems related to Covid 19 will also be examined by the municipal council.
