In two search and seizure proceedings, the aliases of ‘Salado’ and ‘Yeison’ were captured; At the same time, it was possible to arrest aliases ‘Flaco o Camacho’ and ‘Orejas’, alleged criminal actors, all of whom would be linked to the Clan del Golfo, substructure ‘Gonzalo Oquendo Orrego’.
The events were recorded in the Carimagua village of Puerto López, where units of the Judicial Police in coordination with troops of the Colombian Aerospace Force, raided the house in which these people were hiding.
Criminal record of those captured:
Alias ’Salty’, armed leader of the area who has more than 23 years of criminal history. He is currently wanted for the crimes of aggravated homicide, conspiracy to commit a crime for the purpose of homicide, and extortion.
Alias ’Yeison’, Local component leader Meta, with 12 years in criminal life, is wanted by judicial authorities for the crimes of aggravated homicide, illegal possession of firearms and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime for the purposes of extortion.
Aliases of ‘Flaco or Camacho’ and ‘Orejas’, alleged criminal promoters at the service of the criminal structure with a presence in the highland region in the department of Meta.
According to the Police, these area leaders and members led criminal activities such as homicide, drug trafficking and extortion of the agricultural, livestock and merchant unions in the Llanos Orientales region, affecting the departments of Meta, Casanare and Vichada.
Likewise, they are responsible for generating confrontation actions with illegal armed groups in these departments, to guarantee that the organization can generate actions to increase their criminal income.
Those captured along with the seized war material were left at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office No. 187 Section of the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations (DECOC) in Villavicencio.
