The Attorney General’s Office announced the official presentation of a historical memory book that covers its 30 years of existencefinancially supported by the Anti-Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Section (INL) of the United States Embassy in Bogotá.
The publication details the evolution of criminal investigation in Colombia, the creation of the Prosecutor’s Office in 1991 and offers a detailed analysis of the management of attorneys general over the last three decades.
He book highlights the continuous support of the United States, evidencing a constant and harmonious collaboration between the Embassy and the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office, particularly in the fight against crime. The presentation also included a collection of technical books that document the management of the entity in the last four years.

This collection includes directives issued in the period, detailed management reports on progress in the fight against crimes such as homicides, corruption, collective homicides, femicides and criminal finances, as well as the accountability of the Attorney General of the Nation, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, in these four years. Official bulletins are also included that highlight the results obtained thanks to the work of the entity’s officials, as well as advances in the international management of the research entity.
These documents, with a total of 6,060 books in 14 references, will be distributed among the employees of the Prosecutor’s Office as reference material and institutional memory..
“The cost of publication for the 30 years was financed by the United States and the collection of technical books was advanced through an inter-administrative contract with the National Printing Office. It is important to remember that the Attorney General’s Office in these four years did not invest resources in advertising and the communication work was done through the Communications Directorate. The entity was one of the most balanced and austere in the management of dissemination resources, since everything advanced in terms of strategies and campaigns was carried out with the agency’s work team,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.
